A Tennessee trucking company owner has pled guilty to his role in a cargo theft scheme that stole entire trailers worth of cargo from across the country and fenced them to buyers in Chicago and Detroit.
Earl Nunn, owner of Nu World Trucking, has pled guilty to a charge of theft of an interstate shipment. His son and nephew, both drivers for his company, pled guilty to related charges stemming from other cargo theft incidents.
The thieves would drive bobtail through truck stops or service centers looking for unhitched trailers. If they found one that was unattended they would couple up their tractor and drive off with the whole thing. Once away they would drive to either Chicago or Detroit to unload their stolen goods.
According to truckinginfo.com, the thieves could each be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison with no chance of parole and fined up to $250,000.

So, the government gets it’s pound of flesh for this by costing us over $75,000 per year, per person, to lock them up for this. And they get $250,000 for their trouble. How these folks will pay that while locked up is unexplained. But what of the companies who lost product and trailers? This is why the Constitution allows for indentured servitude. To make the person(s) responsible pay back every bit they owe to whomever they wronged, and more. But no, let’s stick yet another inflated bill to the tax payers and have these characters sit around and get a 3 hots and a cot.

Interesting take on this story…
And just where do you stand on me coming to your place and stealing your stuff??….Perhaps you would turn everyone in Prison back on the street and just let them do what they do???
Please lay out your plan for me in simple terms that I can understand??

Put the three in a truck with ankle bracelets that would beep if they got more than 100 yards from the truck and then just make them haul nasty trash to dumps until the bill is paid.

And the ten thousand dollar question…..Who are the “buyers” in Chicago and Detroit of the stolen goods ? Let me take a guess….Russian and Polish trucking and warehousing companies…
