My Thoughts On The Federal Government's
New Truckers Hours Of Service Regulations:

I have decided to keep a running commentary on the new hours of service and how they're affecting us drivers. These are my observations only. This is what I see now, how they have affected me so far, and how I believe they will play out on other truck drivers and the trucking companies. Also how I believe the trucking companies will react to them as they become more fully realized. [Kevin R Watts]

Overall:	So far so good. Overall I don't think they are going to work out too bad. The new hours are workable. NOTE: US Appeals Court has thrown out the new hours of service rules. We are waiting on the Bush Administration to submit an appeal so continue run the new hours of service until we hear further!
14 Hour Rule:	In my opinion the 14 hour rule is the biggest joke and waste of time. When a driver sits a while during the day waiting on a load they run out of time needlessly. When the driver is then ready to go he/she is tired then! Can you fall asleep on the drop of a dime in the middle of the day because of the Government's stupid rules? He-He I guess they figured 10 plus 14 equals 24.
10 Hour Rule:	Can deal with it...
34 Hour Re-Start:	One part I DO like about the new rules!
