A recent spate of highway shootings has spurred authorities to warn that additional shootings may be more likely than usual and to caution drivers to be on the lookout while on the road.
At least five different shooting sprees have taken place in the past few weeks and investigators are worried that the shootings are having a snowball effect. Some are believed to be connected while others appear to have been random.
It started on July 29th when the Michigan highway sniper started firing at cars on I-94 between Battle Creek and I-69. During that time at least five cars were struck by bullets, but no one was injured. Investigators think that multiple other vehicles may have been targets and may even have been hit without the drivers’ knowledge.
In Cincinnati it was a much bloodier scene as three people were shot when a vehicle pulled up alongside them and someone fired at least six shots from a rifle.
Durham, North Carolina’s shooter shot one man in the torso and a woman in the leg. It is reported that the woman’s injuries were not life-threatening, but the man sustained serious injuries. A shooting that may be connected in East Charlotte, North Carolina occurred with a man said a car pulled up next to him and someone inside fired one shot at him.
Most recently there have been at least four shootings all taking place on I-10 in Phoenix, Arizona occurring just over the past few days. The only injury has been to a 13-year-old girl who sustained a cut to her right ear, but other shootings have been close calls to say the least.
Police are advising anyone who’s driving a vehicle that gets shot at not to stop. Drivers are instructed to keep driving until they reach the next exit, then call 911.

Can you just run them over. Or will they then get one of those lawyers that advertise hit by a semi and turn around and sue you and the company you work for.

The nice thing about bullet holes? They make a wonderful argument for your self defense claim.
