A judge in California has just rejected a request by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to throw out a lawsuit that has been filed against them which is attempting to overturn California’s strict regulations on truck emissions. The suit claims that the changes required to adhere to those regulations are unsafe, creating a danger to the vehicles, their drivers, and the public.
Filed by The Alliance for California Business (ACB), the suit alleges that the Diesel Particular Filters (DPFs) used to reduce carbon emissions from diesel trucks are causing fires. As an example, ACB points to a three -day period late last year when fires caused by DPFs destroyed five trucks in three separate incidents.
CARB attempted to have the suit thrown out before it could go to court, but Glenn County Superior Court Judge Peter Twede ruled that “”ACB’s challenge to CARB’s retrofit and upgrade requirement on the grounds that it places truck owners and drivers in violation of public safety laws reflects a standard challenge to a regulation’s legality…”
Along with other emissions-reducing technologies, the DPFs have been required since 2013 when the latest CARB regulations took effect resulting in some truly mammoth fines for non-compliance, even against the other government agencies.

Good luck with that. The reality is the federal EPA and CARB are so narrow minded they don’t see any of these issues as problems. Its as if they are some higher power that see’s their actions as so important as to forgo any suffering its effects have on those who must adhere to them. This is a mirror of what the Obama Administration has done, it makes policy based on a ideology without any care to its effects. My only action to combat this is too simply refuse to accept these regulations and requirements. It will take some time, but CARB will end up seriously affecting the economy of California and its citizens.

CARB and the rest of the Cali-libtards won’t get the message until trucks refuse to cross into the state. When the produce is rotting on the vines and the grocery shelves are empty, things will change. I have a trailer repair shop and hear drivers complain every day about the trials and tribulations of going into CA. But they still go!!! WHY?!??! Haul something else to/from somewhere else.

It’s the (C)alifornia (A)ir (R)esources (B)oard, but for several decades, it has been affecting the entire country. Began by Libs, manned by radicals, and oversight by NOBODY.
CARB has the power to cause people and businesses problems throughout the entire country.
It’s time CARB was cut down to size.

I agree, BUT who started CARB? Ronald Reagan when he was Gov of California!
Bilbo Baggins says
Yeah, libotard Ronald Reagan.
