LEASING TRUCKS AND NOT GIVING MILES TO MAKE PAYMENTS
YOU MIGHT AS WELL GO STRAIGHT TO PETERBILT YOURSELF
IT’S CHEAPER CUT THE MIDDE MAN OUT AND THEY WONDER WHY
TRUCK COMPANIES HAVE LARGE TURN OVERS
DRIVERS NEED TO MAKE A LIVING ALSO NOT JUST THE COMPANY
WITH DISPATCHERS PLAYING FAVORTISM TO CERTAIN DRIVERS
AT THIS RATE THE GOVERNMENT WILL CHANGE LAWS

This comment is 100 percent correct. The 2007 Freightliner lease is because the trucks are junk and freightliner would give them nothing for trade in so they lease them to drivers to get rid of them. But, you get no miles (only enough to pay for truck payment and $450.00 worth of other weekly expenses). Plus the truck stays in the shop with you not getting paid.

John Deere and Fmr useless xpresse thankyou for commenting and telling it like it is. I see advertisements for leasing xpress trucks and wondered about doing that. You answered my Q, thankyou. Imagine how much money each company wastes through driver turnovers each year. I pray you all succeed, God Bless.

Darrel, you have hit upon a very important issue in today’s Trucking Industry. Although it would seem that few companies are willing to face facts and take real corrective measures. It isn’t until they find themselves in the same position as Arrow Trucking and leave their drivers stranded somewhere due to having to shut down without warning that they see the results of not considering the effects of turnover.

The average cost of each driver turnover is $8000. Today’s average turnover rate among large carriers is 106%. Imagine what that means for a company with 2000 tractors; two thirds of which may be team operated. That is between three and four thousand drivers that come and go in a single year’s time. Multiply that number by 8000 and behold the hemorahging! Good post!

My husband and team. Is there any good companies for a lease program. We currently drive for PTL. And oh my god do they suck. They don’t do leases for teams. When we started it wasn’t to bad.
Our truck is a 2012 International Prostar
. We stay in the shop more than on the road. They prefer u to use the terminal shop. They only have shade tree mechanics. They tell u oh she’s ready 100 miles down the road ur sitting on the pho e with road maintenance for the same problem. I’m very unsatisfied with this company.
