Truck Driving Man

I could have loved a banker and have money everywhere
Fancy suits, wing tip shoes and perfectly groomed hair
But I’d rather have a T-shirt and old blue jeans when I can
And I’d rather have the love of my sweet truck driving man

I could live up in a mansion and have servants of my own
Have friends and parties every night and never be alone
I’d rather spend my time with him, I am his biggest fan
Cause I am completely in love with a truck driving man

Eighteen wheels and asphalt, making time out on the road
Running from town to town and carrying a heavy load
Working hard to make a living the best way that he can
I am proud to know that he is mine, my truck driving man

I might have loved a doctor, vacation in the south of France
Wear evening gowns and high heels at the local social dance
But I’d rather walk in sneakers, have adventures, see the land
Watch the dance of the headlights with my truck driving man

I could love a rock star and have my picture in the news
And have all the wealth and finer things that I could ever use
But I’d rather watch a sunset from a truck stop hand in hand
Standing right here by the side of my truck driving man

Watching white lines dancing we move on through the night
Seeing mountains changing color with dawns first coming light
See the blue waves of an ocean rolling in to kiss the sand
Riding on a horse made of steel with my truck driving man

There’s a wealth and a richness that money just can’t buy
A beauty that you can’t purchase no matter how you try
A happiness coming from simple things and living on the land
And the joy of my everlasting love from a truck driving man
