This poem is for my husband whom I've been married to for almost seven years, seven years of hardships. Started driving OTR in September and it's been hard on us. Here's to the love of my life...
Seven years have gone bye, hard work, blood, sweat, and tears.
Is it worth it to throw those years away?
There’s a heart out there that has loved you since that first kiss…
You were wearing your boss jeans and sitting in that pale yellow chair
Listening to our favorite music and having a few beers, one thing led to another
And that’s how we became lovers. I knew from the start you were my soul mate.
I never want us to say we are too late, too late to spend the rest of our lives together.
Because my heart is yours forever , I Jonna Massey take you David Massey to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.
Even when my mouth would say I hate you, my heart says love him more Jonna.
I’ve lost you twice; I can’t lose you again… Maybe third times a charm
Truckin’ has taken a toll on the both of us; the only connection is that damn phone.
Patience, Understanding, Faith, Courage, Pride, and of course Love is gonna get us thru.
You’re my Knight in Shining armor in that big 18-wheeler, we will not let that road destroy us.
This lifestyle is like no other and no matter what obstacle arises we will prevail and conquer.
No matter if its 1 day or 8 weeks until I see you again, I will be here holding my head high and my heart beating strong.
