The Diesel/Gas
Disparity Of $.50/Gal, What?!?

Diesel $3.29
Gas $2.31
To say that truckers are carrying America is putting
it nicely. Why
, you ask, is there such a
disparity from gas to diesel? I believe it is
like this because of the absolute apathy of today's
truckers! The government does it because they
can! With diesel being an actual bi-product of
gas it should be cheaper than gas! BUT what
would normal civilians say IF the prices were the
way they actually should be? Say GAS at $3.29 per
gallon and Diesel at $2.31 per gallon? They would
throw a fit! There would be weeping, wailing and
gnashing of teeth in the streets!
BUT,
what do truckers do? NOTHING. That's
what the government counts on and they are
rewarded for their deeds with EXACTLY what they
want... APATHY.
Do you, reading this, actually believe your
loaf of bread will stay at $.99 per loaf with diesel
staying steady at these prices? I say to you, NAY
NAY, my dear friends. This economy cannot keep on
like this. Inflation is just around the corner. I
was listening to some financial experts the other
day who stated, [" we are headed straight for a
financial "cliff" and will walk right off it, it is
inevitable" ]. I agree!
I'm sure many of you have notice
d the prices
of diesel as you fill up your "gas-guzzlers" and
think... poor truckers, glad I'm not paying that,
PHEW. Sir/Madam, You WILL pay the price sometime
soon! Truckers & trucking companies are
absorbing the costs right now BUT it will not last
long.
For this situation to give, the prices would
have to be reversed to their proper places. Gas
should be what diesel is OR taxes must be cut on
diesel. Of course, car drivers are NEVER going to
call up the government and ask for this to happen so
instead of paying now you WILL pay later. It is
simply delaying the inevitable, "the American way".
Reality:
A company with 2800 trucks:
EXTRA costs for fuel (.50 cents extra per
gallon compared to gas)
calculated at 260 gals avg. per day... (300 gal
capacity)
Per day: $364,000
Per month: $10,920,000
Per year: $132,860,000
WHO will pay for this?
Inevitably... YOU
