MAY 15--- No Gas!! No Work!!
Just got this email today!!!
TIRED OF HIGH PRICES? ITS GOING TO GET WORSE IF WE KEEP LETTING IT!

Now instead of not getting gas... DO NOT GO TO WORK!!
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING, DO NOT SHOW UP FOR WORK AND DO NOT BUY GAS! No Trucking!

1 DAY is all it is going to take, For everyone to just stop!

Take a day and spend it with yours family or friends....................

MAY 15th Is total Black-out day!!!!!!

Spread this to everyone you know, love or hate!!!

We can make a difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, please. Not another one.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to take part in this crapola due to the fact that I have to work that day. With a little luck, enough people will buy into this stupidity to make for a light traffic day, since I'll have deliveries to make.

actually i have a unique situation.

i have a device on my pick-up truck that gives me 5% better fuel mileage.

and i also installed a device that gives an additional 13% better fuel mileage.

then there is this other device that gives me a whopping 31% better fuel mileage.

why just today, i had to pull over, open up my gas cap, and let out some gas........!!!

in fact, i just recieved an e-mail from ExxonMobil, they want me to sell them my truck.............!!!!!!!!

This is the same tired old crap that has been "suggested" since the "GAS RATIONING" days in the late 1970's. It didnt work THEN, it wont work NOW.
Anyone using even a modicum of CRITICAL THINKING would understand that the GAS I "don't buy tomorrow", I will buy today (or day-after-tomorrow) Those who LOST their CRITICAL THINKING during the 1960's and 1970's thru drug use, and those who never aquired CRITICAL THINKING fall for this idocy every time.

DONT BUY ANYTHING???
What if I have an emergency and have to replace the toilet because I ate too many green apples? Do I use a bucket, because I 'refuse to buy" anything??

DON'T GO TO WORK???
Kiss that weekly pay-check good-bye. Now instead of being ONE paycheck away from being homeless......guess what I AM homeless...

Gas strike a bust.
Well May 15th came and went and I guess the gas strike idea was as successful as a lead balloon flying. So instead of starting a new thread let's just report what the gas prices are in your area here.

As of today in Boonville, MO it is $3.19 for regular unleaded. That's in town. Will check at the Pilot and report their prices.

I don't mind. I can plan ahead for these sort of things, but I have always felt, if you can't beat them, join them. Why not get everyone on the road to real money? Then the cost of gas won't be a problem.
