| Flooded out dreams... For the last 4 years we have been packing up, and planning to mave to Coffeyville KS. We kept getting delayed. First by my uncle's cancer returning, then by my father in law developing Alzhiemers disease. He was terrified of cars, so we couldn't very well move him. So we all waited. He passed on in March, and the uncle chose to go elsewhere. Now Mother Nature and an oil refinery have put a SERIOUS damper on those dreams. Coffeyville flooded, and the oil refinery leaked 42,000 gallons of crude oil into the flood waters. Everything is soaking wet and coated in oil. Moving there now would be foolish. But I still want to go down there to help clean up. At least all my things are still packed up safely in boxes. Those people lost everything. All I lost was dreams. Bonnie  |
