who will hire someone who's cdl was suspended?

I have recently posted some posts about my cdl being suspended for 2 tickets within a year. Just wondering if anyone knows any companies out there who give people a second chance. Thank you

Sounds like this would be more like a third or forth chance. You obviously did not learn anything from the first ticket. These tickets must have been pretty high on the scale of offenses to warrant a suspension.

I'll ask you a question, why should anyone be expected to give you a second chance? What can you honestly bring to the table for an employer? WHY should you be given a second or third choice?

Do you have any accidents on your record at all in the previous few years?

If I remember correctly one of your offenses was a left lane violation in IN, and you were ticketed for speeding at the same time, the other ticket was prior to your driving a CMV for speeding.

Not all states have all of those rules about left lanes, I know of companies that will hire you if you have no other infractions and no accidents, but not in IN.

I have a bad headache thinking about IN and their BMV.

My thoughts exactly.

No accidents or other tickets, and fozzy you should know what you are talking about before you talk how are you supposed to learn from the first ticket when there issued at the same time, if speeding 6 over is a serious offense than i guess i am guilty. But don't be ignorant when you dont know whats going on.

Try answering the questions.. You got TWO tickets for speeding at the same time for the same speed? And there is absolutely no way that I'm buying that your license was suspended for 6mph over unless of course you never paid the fines..

Again, I ask WHY should and employer give anyone a "second" chance?

dont respond to my posts if you aint gonna listen, you should be a recruiter for schneider, or j.b.hunt, you sound just as smart. 6 over and an infraction for illegal left lane same traffic stop, happened october of 2006, speeding 12 over in august 2004. Obviously you aint listen you can go back to the first post if you would like to keep disagreeing. Second chance i drove a truck for 11 months then my license was suspended and your saying i shouldnt have a second chance, keep your mouth shut and keep eatin subway fat ###

OK, I listened and remembered what you said. What happened, happened, and I'm not judging you. I would try looking in IL and OH, possibly Kentucky. Forget about Schneider and Swift, too, for that matter, they want you purer than driven snow. Do you need to work OTR or could you do construction driving, or other local work. Being away from home is what much of that is about, too, but you log locally. I have worked at places where there was a guy with a recent reckless driving and the place I work now has a guy with a recent DUI, but no DOT reportable accidents in many years of driving, the guy hit a deer with a truck, once, long ago.

I drive in Indiana when it is called for, but I'm very careful about left lanes and getting caught up in traffic swarms on the Interstates, I slow and let the swarm pass and then resume a prudent speed. When traffic is unusually heavy, I get off the road for a few hours, it lets up. High speed congestion causes accidents, that is one reason why I don't like driving in IN. Another reason is that there seems to be an anti-truck bias in that state, in law enforcement some , but definitely in the courts.

Well I did read the post.. of what substance it was is questionable. Still won't answer the simply question of why someone SHOULD give you a chance? So its not two tickets, it's now three tickets.

I've got a job.. have fun!
