WalMart is the WORST!

Ok, this has spun me into a frenzy...

My mom works for walmart, been there like 7 years or so
she works in the phamacy and her and her co-workers from the pharmacy, were going to have a christmas party at one of her managers house. ok no problem right?

Wrong, mom came home tonight and told me that her christmas party got cancelled because walmart got wind of the christmas party and told them NOT to have it or dicsplinary(sp) actions will be taken.

Where in the F****** world does walmart have a say what friends do on there OWN time, NOT at work, NOT on the clock.

It was said because its at one of the managers house. This is UNCALLED FOR!

I cant even wrap my mind around this crap! ANOTHER reason why walmart is the worst company.

This party has NOTHING to do with work, just mom and her friends, so what they also work at walmart.
walmart said because they already had a christmas party they cant attend another one

THIS IS THE BIGGEST CRAP EVER, i am fighting this! i almost assure you this is not the last time you will here this, i am pissed...

I bet if Sam Walton were still around, it wouldn't be an issue. I've heard a lot of things are changing at Wal-Mart and not for the best. Sad, very sad. Sam Walton was all about the common man and always had a space for any trucker to park if need be - for free.

This is not just for Walmart.

The accounting firm I worked for never had a Christmas party. The employees started raffles and sold tickets for the employees to show up. The first couple of years it was fine. There were never any problems. Finally, the company told them it could never be referred to as blank blank company xmas party. This also passed on to the softball games held each summer and the company golf league.

The attorney had advised them they should stop any and all mention of the company by employees during their time off. Yes, they also tried to stop employees from wearing company t-shirts on their time off.

They are not the only ones in the country that do this.

I agree Sam Walton would have never tolerated that...he was a people person and thats why he made so much money and the stores still do....its bad when someone puts a halt on a "off duty Christmas Party".......
