Bell The job - urine test

THE JOB - URINE TEST (I sure would like to know who wrote this one! They
deserve a HUGE pat on the back!)

I HAVE TO PASS A URINE TEST FOR MY JOB... SO I AGREE 100%.
Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and
the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that
paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no
problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to
people who don' t have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a
urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for
them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on
their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone
sitting on their #####, doing drugs, while I work. . ... . Can you imagine how
much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a
public assistance check? Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if
you don't. Hope you all will pass it along, though . .. . Something has to
change in this country -- and soon!

I have been saying that all LAW MAKERS need to be subjected to random urinalysis test as well.. All government officials should have to be subjected to randoms... Even the president.

I see you point very well... but many problems arise as well.. It probably would end up costing more then what it would save to run test...

Don't let Mr Bush hear this. He will use his Executive powers to have him and his administrative branch excluded.

We spend alot of $$$ in this country daily to keep law and order and ppl honest!! What's the cost of one routine urine test vs. delving out thousands in welfare, weekly??

I firmly believe that someone receiving assistance should be subject to these tests.

Well, people would need transportation to and from testing centers. No, you do not actually have to show up at a welfare center to get welfare. You would have the issue of baby sitting for the 20 kids these people have. You would have to deal with the issue of handicapped people getting a ride in a handicapped safe vehicle. And so much more.

The issue has been discussed before around here in Indiana and they presented all kinds of issues in making such a thing happen.. Its a great ideal but a costly one..
