I bought a small fridge from walmart. Lot better than having a plug in cooler.

I haven't tried the dorm fridge, I have been in trucks with 12 volt refrigerator, freezers, they don't draw good batteries down like the Coleman and Igloo versions, or the knockoff truck stop brands.

They would take less power than an inverter to house current fridge, but the cost is higher.

They come to be built in and also, like an ice chest. Look on the net for Engel, Isotherm, and maybe others. You are talking several hundred dollars for these units.

I would have to go look. I will post a pic. I took it out as my truck is getting over hauled. Should be done tomorrow. I guess it to be about 3 foot x 3 foot. Has a small freezer. They had 3 sizes. I guess you would call them a dorm fridge. I got the medium sized one. I got mine for about 50 or 60 bucks.

We have the magic chef brand, we got it at Home Depot. It replace mine, looks like they only last for about 4-6 mo. They are like the dorm type.
Been driving for about 2 yrs and this is the 3rd one we had. We pay 150.00 and still running i think the more you pay the longer they last.I It think all the bouncing damages them.
