| When I was there I was on milege. I still made good coin though. I ran into another driver at a drop, he was on % and difference was almost $200.00 for the same load. If I was going to run for them agian I would do %.

| Jack, thats what I figured too. They tried hard to convince me that the way to go was short runs all East of the Miss., I told my wife they were crazy and had obviously never had to drive out East! Hey, I forgot to ask you, when you had your lease termed What happend to the truck? Were you offered the chance to buy it if you wanted? Or did you just have to walk away? Also, did you get the truck you wanted or were you stuck with the second or third choice? Sorry for all the questions, trying to get all my ducks in a row to make a decision. |

| Hey Pathfinder, My brother in law is in their lease program and is making good money. As for the short runs compared to long runs. ATS has a sliding scale for milage. The shorter the run the more per mile you make. When he started his lease his dispatcher had him do alot of short runs and it built up his money pretty quick. He liked the shorter runs at first because he could see the difference in his pay check. And ATS's FSC is great. He has yet to buy fuel that his FSC didn't cover. He has slowed down to 55-60 mph and is getting over 7.5 MPG and even at that speed gets to his customer early or on time, never late. When i get out of the military im going to ATS. Nero |

| I've been looking at coming over Anderson's lease once I get my 18-months experience in. I wouldn't mind getting on as a company driver until then. I sent my application in a few days ago, any idea how long they take to get back to you? |

| Evo, I'm not the best one to ask I came to them before I even started school. I would say be proactive. Don't wait too long before you call to see how its going. I heard a rumor that they had stopped hiring co. drivers for now, but I know for a fact of three drivers that have been hired since I heard that rumor. They did have heavy haul experience, but obv. there are exceptions. |

| movin on up Been trucking for 8 years, reefer & dry van. now looking into ats and some heavy hauling action. Read that the colombias and volvos didn't meet some drivers standards. Whats the rating on the classic xl? |

The only way to make it in trucking is find a good company that you like and they like you. If you want a truck then buy it from a dealer with your own financing and run under your own authority. Many drivers fail as O/Opts because they never seek out freight before purchasing a truck, Find freight first, the truck is second actually it's last on the list. Start with brokers that you haul freight for in the past that you liked, keep their numbers and call them with an offer. nothing under a $1.60 a mile...........Never ever LEASE PURCHASE A TRUCK; OR LEASE ON WITH A COMPANY!!!!! Save yourself $20.000 dollars and start from there, also individuals who sell their trucks some of them will handle the financing themselves. Good Luck. |
