No thanks. I'll be getting that up to 8 mpg, with a little luck and a few add ons.

So far, I have had a good truck. Remember I'm still not pulling the big stuff.

Someone tell me if these figures are in the ball park...

    2500 mile week # $1.20 $3000
    $400 weekly truck payment
    $1670 Fuel # 6 mpg
    $3 use of fuel card
    $16.15 Tax service
    $15 Drivertec
    $3 Trippak
    $3 Prepass
    $11 FHUT
    $157 Maintenance fun
    $ 52.5 tire fund
    $84 promisary note
    $31 Physical damage
    $39 Occupational

    2484 a week expenses

    $516 at home.

$240 for taxes 8% of $3000 (what I've been told by a truck tax expert)
    $100 for health insurance

$176 for bills at home a week.

Now, the accesorial pay must be the nuts in order for anyone to make $900 a week on them so that leasing a truck can be as good as a company gig...

The way to make as much as the company guys is to take the oversize loads. Pull 3300 miles a week average, and keep the #### left door closed. Not saying Lease purchase is for everyone. Just the above average intelligent one's. If all you take home is $176 dollars a week. Then heres something your wife/ girlfriend or boyfriend tells you at home " Your doing it wrong!! "

I take loads into Canada all the time. I usually get more than $1,000.00 extra for that. OD pay, to me, is not worth it. Tarping, stop pay, tractor repo, various arbs all add up. Sometimes, they can be more than your mileage.

Why not 7 mpg? Your securement will be paid off soon.

There are many ways to make money.

I never said it was a fuel surcharge. For mileage drivers, loaded miles are paid $.25 additional. For me, out of Texas, that was usually $550.00 more. There is usually a Canadian ARB, anywhere from $500.00 to $1,175.00 of which you get 65%, $750.00 is the usual amount coming out to $487.50. Which comes out to $1,037.50, so maybe I'm off a few dollars.

On percentage, it is usually a little more. I still get the ARB, a little higher pay, depending on the load and a Repositioning Fee.
