| I drove for ATS 3 years ago. ATS treated me well as a company driver. I got all the miles I needed to keep running. Working for them as a company driver the only complaint I have is the governed speed limit of 65, but thats cause I get used to the 75+ trucks that I ran prior. I takes a few months to get used to the slower pace. I was a Class 3 just about to a Class 2 in their flat/specialized division. You get a fair share of granite loads and end up in cemetaries from time to time. I liked them and was thinking about getting into the lease program. I met several lease ops, and owner ops. Most of them were doing well. I've jumped from company to company and this is true at ATS as well your going to have drivers that have good things to say as well as bad. I had a few bad times at ATS but the good outweighed it. If you can put the effort in and the time out on the road you can make it in the lease program. If you need to be home often don't do it. In the begining of a lease program and this is with any company you need to stay out 4-7 weeks come home for 3-4 days no more and go back out. When you have a truck payment you can't be home all the time. Once your ahead you can shorten you time out but at least the 1st year look at long trips stays away from home. The other thing increase your MPG's the surcharge is where the money is on milage pay for O/O or leases. All in all ATS is a good company and I am considering going back OTR with ATS when the job I'm supervising for this company is over. For those interested Keen is not a bad company if your on the East coast and want to get into OD hauling. Just a note as I'm sure your all aware. The one thing you will notice is the drivers that have a bad expeirence with a company tend to constantly complain, aren't happy with any company they've been with, and usually don't put the full effort into their JOB not career. Now there are good drivers that have a bad experience from time to time. Check out a company from all points before you make a decision. This is my opinion taken from my expierence with several companies and from hiring drivers as a supervisor for the company I drive for now. I have an 8 man crew and have had 20 guys working under me on other projects. There is always a handfull of cry babies, a whiner that will do anything to help but will still get it done, a few that think the company truck is theirs and no one else can drive it, a couple that bad mouth everyone including me behind my back, and a few that just get it done no problems no whining just do it. Which one are you? |

| Anderson trucking service is a outlaw co. I worked for those crooks a year and a half from 1998 to 2001. I was fired because my late wife was dieing from diabetes, and those evil crooks didn't want to pay the medical bills. They used a minor accident that I was not at fault, that I took a evasive maneuver that kept people from getting hurt or killed. They also tried to stop me from collecting workers comp. when I got hit by a chain binder below my lip leaveing a scar. They got a shyster lawyer to go to the workers comp hearing that told nothing but lies, but the workers comp judge was smart enough to see though it all. I got 6000$ those evil criminals. |
