| So the company driver on percentage pay gets screwed a little if the fuel is not included in the gross (normally it is not?) The fuel surcharge is supposed to help cover the fuel costs. On the flip side, all of your other costs are taken care of (tolls, truck maintenance, authority, etc). How much are co % drivers making gross? How much are they paying out for fuel?

| Please confirm this with ATS. Usually %age pay drivers have to take fuel out of that %age. What you are saying is that the driver gets 26% of the gross freight bill and does not have to pay for fuel. That's not bad. What does that 26% gross average out to weekly?

| MorrisGray, I think he is a Frtshaker or a KW. Please keep the updates coming and let us know how training goes. What is your trainer teaching you, what is he telling you not to do and etc. Kinghunter |

I'm still wondering what %age people are averaging weekly? How often are they unloading (everyday)? If the company pays for fuel, then that means you would not have to worry about deadhead miles. This was something a lot of people were telling me about %age paid drivers. They had to eat the fuel costs out of that %age. But since they don't, I'm really trying to figure out the negative in % pay? What would be a drawback getting paid percentage? Also, how many out of route miles % are you allowed? Do they try to get you home on the weekend? Sorry for the questions. I like to investigate these things.

| I'm not sure about the home on weekends. my trainer is but I don't think all regional gets to be but I'm not sure. and no you don't pay for the gas. atleast not with arrow. he takes home 1000 a week on average and takes every weekend off. I don't know if that's good or bad to you. I'm sure you could make more if you worked all week. tomorrow should be my last day on the truck. I'm only 10 hrs short of my 120 and have to drive from larado tx to tulsa or for 11 hrs of it so I should be don't tomorrow. and will test out friday. weeeeeeeeee!! |

Had a question about the %age again. When your trainer says 1000/wk on average. Is he including his trainer pay, or is he just calculating the 26% gross?
