I'm looking for a decent small company in Houston Texas to put my truck to work. I don't want to go too far out as I have a new baby going to be here in a few weeks. Anybody know of anything? Or is there even such a thing?

gas or oil tanks. about all I can think of unless you get real lucky and stumble on someone with a contract. With TX you either leave and don't come back untill you got enough money, or you stay running around in TX because the rtes to get out of the state totally suck

I would pull tanker in a second if I could find a company that had work close by. Everything I've found they want me to stay out 5-7 days. I do local work right now using a flatbed but they just don't have enough work for me to stay ahead. I get 1 load a day that pays $400 but by the time they take their money and I pay fuel I make $162. Any suggestions on a company?

not really. I'm a few hours north east. I know one I tried to go to ork for when I first moved there but they are only company drivers. Miller tank but I think they go farther away too. I like tankers but I don't have the $$$$ for a pump

Yeah I hear you on the $$$$ I seen Dart is looking for local drivers but the $1.13 a mile is a deal breaker.

you can get a trailer form the company coon is with. I was going to lease to them but it was right when the bottom fell out of the oilfield work and the Beaumont yard stopped leasing trucks on
