I have noticed a difference in water temp because that dreaded fan dont kick in as much haven't paid a lot of attention to the boost gauge. been running local the last couple weeks and still getting around 6.3 mpg running a lot of 2 lane and towns

Three rounds this week, one to sw Missouri, one to nw Arkansas and one to western Kansas back to sw Missouri. Fought the wind all week no matter what direction i went. Average gross weight on the five loads I hauled was 79,540#, ran 3435 miles total, 495 empty miles, used 636.62 gallons of fuel, average economy was 5.40 miles per gallon. I'll post again next weekend, at this time I have two rounds booked for next week, one to sw Missouri, the other to nw Arkansas and return.

Typically it would have been in the 4.9 to 5.0 range under the same conditions.

Thanks again, that is an 8% increase in fuel economy. 8% of $3.79 a gallon of Diesel is .30 cents a gallon savings. So on 636.62 gallons of diesel that is $190.98 that you saved in your pocket last week and did not give it to the fuel pump. That is a nice raise to yourself.
Thanks for posting this info and allowing all the members to see how they also can increase their profits.

Okay. I've been averaging 7.2 throughout the life of my truck. Lately, my fuel economy fell to 6.8. I believe it is because my DPF filter needed to be cleaned and a fault in the wiring harness. Both issues are being addressed today.

I haul loads avaveraging 77,000 pounds throughout the Cascade Mountains, the Coastal Range and Northern Rockies, west side. After this maintenance stuff is attended to, I will report my fuel efficiency.

My average speed is 62 to 64mph on the highways.

I am not using Ben's product.

2011 Prostar, in service since Feb 2010, 233K miles right now. Cummins ISX, Eaton/Fuller 9C trans, geared for hills, not for flat speed.

I'm putting my information here as a sort of "control" sample.

My last load - 78K, 1155 miles, steady cross winds the whole time. 6.71 mpg.

Starting harvest and nothing really to track or compare so it will be a couple months before I'm back OTR.
