Two rounds this week. One to sw Missouri and one to nw Arkansas. Both rounds returned to the Sioux City area from the Tulsa area. My normal deal. Had a lot of wind on the second round and it wasn't helping much! Regardless, had a decent week. 2508 miles, 434.96 gallons, 5.77 miles per gallon. Average gross weight was 79,440#, empty miles were 336. I know this isn't impressive mileage to most of you, but for a 379 Pete flat top with a 550 Accert, it's quite an improvement over what I've been used to. I'll post again next week, going to mix it up a bit, one Arkansas round and one to nw Kansas and back to sw Missouri.

I haven't posted in a while I had about a week and a half of downtime from changing jobs. My numbers ARE skewed upwards due to 491 bobtail miles. So let me break down the numbers on one 672 loaded miles trip between fillups from this week.
Pulling a 53' dry van trailer I went 56 miles empty, 281 miles with 18,000 lbs in the box, and 335 miles with 42,500lbs in the box (gvw 76,500) that is the total 672 mile trip. Burned 112 gallons comes out to 6.0 mpg even.
Once again I have a notebook with every single fillup logged for the previous 170,000 miles. So when I say, since installing the ecotaz, that I am impressed to have cracked the mystical 6.0 believe me I AM IMPRESSED. There are many, many entries in my notebook of 5's and yeah even a few 4's. I'm consistently seeing 6's now. And my total week to right here where I'm parked of 1642 miles my average is 6.43 mpg..
That of course with the skew upwards from 491 miles of bobtailing. To which I would like to add in the course of that 170,000 miles there were a few times when I had 300 miles bobtail deadhead and it used to frustrate me to no end that even those times after running another 600 miles that I would still be lucky to see something along the lines of 5.8mpg.
I don't care what you think. I'm happy with it and as the weeks go by I will try to post up my mpg totals on a weekly basis.ECOTAZ and BigBadBill Thank this. -
