Please keep this thread going. I'm very interested!
Redbeard, I read in one of the early posts that you keep your guitar in the truck for downtime. Right now you're my hero! I hope to be there someday. Owning a truck a plucking the six string!!!

Yeah, I'm around. Just haven't been on the forum. I've been on Facebook a lot lately.
Quick update: revenue is off a bit. Kind of a "big month, tiny month, big month, tiny month, rinse, repeat" cycle.
I turned in the credit app to refinance my truck the other day, should be signing the contract next time I go home. Given the number of loads I've been turning down lately because the miles per day sucked, I dunno how company drivers (who are forced dispatch now) are making a living. I'm looking around for other opportunities right now. Been talking to as many Landstar BCOs on the van side as I can, and looking at much smaller companies also.

Are there any cabovers at Crete any more? I remember several years ago running into an owner operator who was driving a beautiful red and white cabover with a pretty big sleeper for Crete. That truck looked very cool.

I think there's one cabover left, a white Freightliner with the big sleeper.
