Just don't go to California. Stop at the line and offload there. I have been trans-loading my CA freight in NV for the last 3 years because I have no interest in running into the peoples Republic of California.

It's not that bad. All that's going to happen, is you get stuck in traffic or get involved in a drive by shooting. lol

    Ok...a heads up......
Everything started in Kommiefornia eventually moves east.....
Remember that Cali was the first state to enact and enforce anti-idling laws.....

Now look....Almost every metro area across the states has anti-idling or idle restriction laws in force....

You'll either adapt, change, or die.....those are your choices.......

At 59 I'm not sure I'd worry about buying a newer truck unless you plan on running well into your "retirement" yrs.

After CA falls into the ocean in 2012, you won't have to worry about it!

No, after 1/2/2011 thats when CA will fall into the ocean. Jerry Brown will be the new Governor. And will inherit $28B deficit. And all services will be cut.

.....And therefore Brown will go after small biz....Like he did during the '70's....

CARB is about the lowest form of life that crawls on Earth....
Last year while running back home.....I was S/B on the 5 through Tejon....It started to snow and I hammered down to beat CALTrans before they shut the S/B side down....N/B was already shut down.....From the summit back to Castaic.....

I heard drivers grumbling on the radio that CHP, County mounties, and CALTrans....were out in force to tell the truckers to shut it down lest they get fined..........

The low-lives who make up the rules in Cali got to stay home in their warm houses while truck drivers had to sit overnight in cold trucks so that all Californians might breathe better......:biggrin_25526:

I expect a waive of lawsuits if things in CA progress.
    For example:
My 99 meets every single emission law that was in effect at the time it was produced. It remains unchanged and unmodified.

Personally I feel that says it all.
My CAB card currently doesn't contain CA and at this point I have no plans on adding it....
