Riiiight... o-0 Guy's been trucking for 7 years. He may know nothing about simple things to learn like booking loads etc, but in that time he ought to have learned a little something about what he was doing as a company driver hauling freight... even though he may not "know what he sort of knows about that freight" until here gets out here and gives it a go on the free market - then different things click with the "oh yeah" moments...

Well well well; hubby just found out that the quick pay option isn't so quick.
    What a joke!!!
That was the only thing going for them. Now we have to scratch that off the list.

If you have non owned trailer insurance you should get with your recruiter and have that updated. JB Hunt accepts Non owned trailer physical damage as long as its for 25K

I think thats what it works best for. We use it when we our customers are slow. Yea we sit from time to time with them but we also do the same with our customers from time to time. I think its just easy for folks to blame the big guy for situations they find themselves in on picking ther own loads. Some folks just arent cut out for this business.

Naaa thats not true. We started out running the regular OTR where their disatchers ran the truck. It was ok at best but it was basically effortless even though we DID sit from time to time. Now when we run we do the load visability board. If we are sitting its our own fault. Our average last year on load weight was around 33.5. But that may have to do with where we run and some smart planning. Let's face it, you can expect to jump on the coat tails of the big guys and get rich over night.

Hello, I signed up just to say something about this.

We joined the JB Hunt " team " this week. So far my driver has spent 3 hours looking for a trailer with 2 incorrect trailer numbers. He replaced one of two trailer tires last night and has since received another trailer and had to replace another tire on that one. I didn't realize tires could actually come in Nascar form for trailers.

The money they are paying is a joke. Well the first load we took was insulting for pay. I was told he would get better paying jobs as he goes and with the holiday they would make sure to treat him right. huh. The second job was ever lower per mile than the first. So now he's either stuck in MI with no load home and no trailer or we get to haul their junk trailers and cheap freight for another couple days.

When I sent the picture of the bald tire to the JB Hunt agent and told him it had already blown his response was - Ok good. What time did he leave? WTF

No kidding??? What nut job are you dealing with? We have had trailer issues too. Seems like something is up. We have had good luck once we get a good trailer but have seen some hiccups lately and we do this quite often.

I have no understanding of how JB operates, but if it is like Schneider (I was as leased there a while) they tend to do quite a bit of drop-n-hook loads do they not???

Is there anyway you can eventually get hooked to a new trailer (or newer one) and just hold onto it and only do live loads/unloads??? I know in the van world, it is so much easier to drop-n-hook, but it may save you time and aggravation down the road.

Why would you get your own authority to drive for these bottom feeders???????????????????????? They are scum, that a hole Dave that recruits there calls and begs me to come there, he got pissed when I told him he was nuts to stop calling. If your gonna do something like that you might as well go drive one of their trucks. Youll be chasing trailers all the time and wont get paid for it. Get yourself a trailer and go haul some freight. JB Hunt does have some decent rates on loads they post on load boards. Not all but some. How could you think your gonna stay afloat making 1.70$ or even 2.0You need at least 2.50, normally Im doing 3 to 5$. I just wouldnt have nothing to do with them jokers.
