I have found 2 candidate trucks, both are 2005 freightliner century, detroit, 10 speed, trucks have 508k and 556k miles on them, 1 of the trucks comes with the selectrucks 1yr/100k used truck warranty backed by freightliner, costing 3k, has anyone had any experience with their warranty? as a rule of thumb i do not like warranties, allot of them are not worth the paper their written on, any info would be greatly appreciated.................

I'm not a fan of them either. Neither of my trucks were offered with a warranty. Anytime I ever bought an extended warranty, I never used it. Of course the moment you forgo the warranty, stuff happens.
Look closely as to what's covered such as the turbo. I know some guys have gotten and used the warranty, hopefully one will come around and see your post.
Good luck to you! -
My uncle got something like this years ago and it wasn't worth the paper it was written on. He ended up losing the truck because the warranty wouldn't cover a problem he had right after he bought the truck.

If it is a Premium 2000 warranty..... Run for your life! I'd probably still have my Peterbilt 379 if that premium 2000 warranty was any good.
Now National Truck Protection is a different story. I paid $800 for that warranty on my Volvo. So far it has paid for $3700 in repairsLes2, brycey1, BigJohn54 and 1 other person Thank this. -

I remember reading that the select trucks warranty also covered all EGR components.
I was surprised by this because NOBODY covers them. But maybe that is just in the 60 day buyers assurance policy.
I was really leaning towards a select trucks truck due to the fact that the warranty covered allot more than most others.
Many trucks I looked at have the 1 year or 2 year included in the price. -
