Does Wal-Mart put the tripak apu's on their tractors as soon as they get them or after a few years?

I'm trying to figure out a estimated/guesstimated number of idle hours on their trucks when they sell them.

Or if you own a former WM truck with a tripak, how many idle hours did your tractor have on it?

    Thanks.

They order the trucks with them new. essentially almost no idle time on those trucks.

Anyone can go to the auctions, you don't have to be a dealer. You just have to register and prove that you can pay for what you're planning on buying. I've seen the walmart trucks go for between 12-18k here in Colo.

"Call southern truck sales Channelview, TX (281) 452-4344 my buddy got one from them he has like 30 of them i seen them today thay all are 04-06 51 in Lo Rise Pro Sleeper ISX Cummins Engine 400hp 10speeds 2.64 Ratio like 205 W/B thay thve them with 600-800,000 miles from $20,000 to $28,000 his truck has 600,000 miles on it i he gave $25,000 for it and its clean clean clean"

This posting was on here about a week ago, I thought it might help you. I didn't want to take credit for someone else's post that's why I put his info on here as well. You can also try Don Baskins Used Truck Sales. But be careful with this guy b/c I keep hearing different reviews with them, some bad some good.

Personally, I thought they were at a good price. How much are you looking to spend on the truck?

After researching them, I found that the avg. auction price for an 04-05 international 375-430HP with 640k-730k miles was around $19k + $600 auction fee. These are the actual sell prices, and this is a New Year so those prices should be even cheaper now. That's a good deal IMO.

You can get wm trucks at various locations. lot of dealers fo to these auctions & buy dozens & then have them driven to their lots. southland intl has some, baskins truck sales in tn has some. there are at dealers all over the u.s. who have these, just have to find them.

something i havn't seen mentioned here is that to get on walmart's fleet you have to have 5 years exp otr so these trucks were not used to train drivers right out of the gate and with the apu's no idel time is a huge advantage and they take very good care of their equipment sounds like a solid investment to me
