What tips and tricks have you found for cheap internet access out on the road?
Do you just keep track of rest stops and exits with coffee shops with free access, or drive your rig around neighborhoods until you find some open access?

I use a Verizon mifi that my wife & I both get on wireless with our laptops and it works great. We tried the free stuff but not that much available at truck stops. Truck stops will sell you access but it is cheaper to get it own your own. Never tried the neighborhood thing though. You might check with your cell phone provider.
