    How is the exhaust tube from the rear of the unit vented? Pic is worth a thousand words here (hint hint!).

    the problem you are going to run with some of these generators and the A/C window units you want to run is that they have electronics in them that require a pure sine wave form out of the generator. Not many generators will do that. It's actually clipped.

    In otherwords, it's dirty power and the electronic controls don't like it and are shutting it down as a result.


    And you'll also get a few truckers that are going to tell you I am blowing smoke up yer tailpipe too.

    Take it for what it is but if you want more, do a google or bing search on generator wave forms.

    Try plugging it into a house outlet to see if the issue is with the ac or the generator. What size, manufacturer and model generator are you using? You could be exceeding the duty rating of the generator.
