I would love to have Bell's truck or your truck sitting in my driveway looking shiny anytime. Pure Class.

I dropped both my drops in Houston on monday. Total fuel for this load was 980.20, total to the truck was 2173.25 on 1849 miles. Comes out to 1.17 permile after fuel and companies cut.
Dispatch didnt have anything for me when I was empty so I found my own load on Internet Truckstop. Load is 2 stops to Seattle paying 4200 flat rate on 2290 miles teh 20 dead head miles. Will deliver friday am and have load waiting going to minnesota.

Did you mean to say $1.17 AFTER fuel?

Pretty darn good load, that second one in particular if the first was a typo.

Yes, it did come out to 1.17 TTT after fuel. It was a pretty good load at 1.85/mile plus fuel. I guess thats what you get when you cross the border.

I dropped my 2 stops in Seattle on Fri am. Fuel ended up being 1173.98 for that trip, so I ended up at 2606.02 TTT on 2558 total miles. Comes out to 1.01 per mile after fuel. I then went and loaded my load back to minnesota on fri afternoon. This one makes up for the good loads I have been getting. This one pays 2040.00 on 1790 miles plus 250 for fuel and 100 stop and tarp pay. Comes out to 2086.00 TTT on 1790 miles.

Thanks for the encouraging words, I do stay out a long time(2-3 weeks), but I truly enjoy my job and feel lucky to be doing as well as I am. If I can continue the good numbers that I am making, I do think I will be taking the plunge and purchasing my own truck this fall or next spring.

Truck Getting Started

I'm new at this forum thing so please be patient with me.

I would like to buy my own OTR truck and I am looking for a book or website or something that has step-by-step instructions on the licenses, permits, insurances, etc. that I will need for it. I realize that all this probably depends several factors but if someone knows of something that would get me close I would appreciate it.
