I don't get this. I have never bought from them, but have friends that have. When I was looking to buy I looked at them. Even drove to Tifton. I NEVER heard or found anything I didn't like about them.

Without fail, every few weeks some "person" claims it's a rip off. So, that being said... Tell your tale...

hello, yes one from baskin and one from arrow truck sales. i brought an 03 vnl 670 from arrow in 05 with 325000 on it that ran perfectly. i sold it and went to baskin and brought a fr8t shaker for 20 g that ran me good before i sold it and gave up on the industry for awhile. as with all dealers check what you buy. they will sell u something with a lawn mower under the hood if they can.

that also includes sales tax and interest figured into it.

I struggled with figuring out the payments on it myself too.

There's also a reason so many people also get approved for it even with bad credit.

Any time a dealer offers easy financing for bad credit you can expect to pay a higher price for the equipment. Some will take advantage of the opportunity to get their credit straightened out and others will turn in the truck if things get a little tight. I have seen some advertise that they will sell to anyone with as much as $10,000-12.000 down. If someone has that much to put down,. they should just find an older truck and pay cash. I don't believe that Don Baskins finances trucks. I think that are cash and carry, or at least was at one time. I have never even looked at a truck on their lot, but have passed by. They have a lot of inventory. In checking their website, their prices seem a little high to me for what you get. I don't know anything about Lone Mountain other than what I have read on this forum. Most seem to be happy with them, but a few have had bad experiences. You will always find some who are not happy with a dealer. It is usually best to have your own financing when it comes to buying commercial equipment.

I have heard a lot of negative about Don Baskins, but when I was getting my base plates this year I met a guy who said that he has purchased about 20 trucks from Don Baskins. He said that they have done well with them.

so you havent ever bought a truck from lone mountain? the price you quote in another post is way off. i have had no problems with them, nor has any of the guys i talk to that have gotten trucks from them. the major thing is to check any truck out before you buy, have a dyno and full inspection done, and not a give me my dot sticker inspection, but one where you tell the guy , FIND something wrong

gman, that might rank right up there with the guy who says he has 20 trucks, but is driving a company truck just to have something to do, yes, i have heard that story at the counter. lol, with 20 trucks you would have more than enough to do.
