you don't want advice, you want someone to agree with you. you only want to put lone mountain down, not listen to anyone elses point of view.

I got the title to mine in the file cabinet at home, I know how to make it work.

and as far as picking a fight, glad you admit that. you aint got a clue, you just think ya do. and you aren't willing to learn, that's the folly of someone who thinks they know it all.

You are the one that doesn't have a clue.........if you read what I wrote about what I know you would see I have a very intelligent plan for becoming an owner. I don't claim to know it all, I am not rushing into it unsafely and I do my research, I ask the right question and I research everything in dept, I pay attention to all answers.
As for your "title... in.. cabinet.., know how to make it work" : How many times did you try to get there?...lol...

You just like to babble all the time about how great you are and to put down others, I am pretty sure you are paid by LM for defending them as you do.

Fact is alot of people had valid criticism and because you have a whole bunch of cronies on here you destroyed them, made them look bad and as all good bullies with bunch followers everybody pitched in and made them feel like dirt or lose their temper and were removed from this forum.

One of these days your followers (if man enough) will wake up, stand on their own, and see you for what you are ..... and pitch in with their own opinion instead of yours.

I Love fishing for Large mouth Bass, taste goooooood!
    lol..............

long time no hear from ya. i did read everything you wrote, you do seem to be well thinking this out, but your criticism of lone mountain is only based on heresay from others who have had a bad experience or failed for one reason or another.

and yet the ones of us who have bought from lone mountain and did well, and paid our trucks off and have been successful for many years are given no credence at all, and are somehow bullies.

you seem to call anyone who agrees with me a bully, when what you received was good advice.

and you should know a large mouth bass when ya see one, you see one everytime ya look in the mirror, lol back at ya.

and to answer your question, i drove company for 10 years from 1979 to 1989 , then i purchased a 1976 intl cabover for 1,250 bucks and leased to Bennett motor, i drove than 1250 dollar truck for 4 years til she blew in Monroe,mi. i then bought a 1987 frieghtline convential in 1993 bought a reefer and pulled exempt for 2 years before i got my authority, which by 2nd of 2008 have morphed into 2 toter trucks and 6 leased on drivers with toters hauling modular and mobile homes over mainly the southeast, we also dod modular cranesets and installed mobile homes. when the housing market collasped in 2008 i closed up shop after i gave everyone time to find other places to land, i then took the next year to build 2d son a house. in dec 2010, i after that i decided to come back on the road rather than work for someone.

i didn't want to risk any money i had already saved , i decided to buy a used truck, and finance . the problem i ran into was when checking credit for the finance the dealer would find i was qualified to buy new and any used truck i picked out would miraculously get sold. i saw lone mountain had the year model and non egr t600 although it did have the acert cat. i called em was appreoved by the next morning and went down and drove every one they had on lot, narrowed it to one and dynode and had the punk inspected out of it. i had took 5,000 out of savings, paid 3400 down, paid 200 down on phys damage and bobtail insurance and drove it home.

put 400 bucks of fuel in, that left me 1000 bucks. and from dec 2010 til now everything else including paying back the 5 grand out of savings has been paid by the revenue generated by the truck. that's every breakdown, every tire, the apu, the trailer i got from mercer.

i got it all paid for with a lone mountain truck, which according to you is a disaster. which also the same place Flood got his.

that's my disagreement with you, you only focus on those who failed at lone mountain and blame it all on lone mountain.

i have the title to paid off lone mountain, truck, a trailer paid off with earnings by a lone mountain truck, and apu paid off by a worthless lone mountain truck.

and no i am not paid by lone mountain, that's a real good one, one could say you are being paid by a lone mountain competitor, lol.

and there is a truth in life, VALID criticism cant be destroyed. and i have always wanted to have a bunch of cronies following me, frank Sinatra had a bunch of cronies also.

the true fact is buying a used truck is a crapshoot, things go wrong and is no ones fault, far to many go into on a wing and prayer and hope for the best. and i have to hear anyone who had a truck repoed say it was their fault, its always the banks or the companies, never them.

I guess those looking at this thread have a choice to make. They can take the word of those who have had good experiences buying a truck from Lone Mountain, or they can be like nofilter and take a bunch of hearsay and use that as a reason not to buy a truck there. Remember, no one is holding a gun to your head! If you don't like lone mountain, go elsewhere.

I don't care where you get your truck. My experience tells me whether you buy at Lone Mountain or through Paccar Financial, if you are going to be successful, your will be. If you are going to fail, it does not matter whether you buy a brand new or slightly used or battered and abused, you are going to fail. It's way to easy for someone who has failed to point the blame somewhere else than to look in the mirror and see the root cause of their failure. Anyone who gets into ANY field that relies on machinery to function and doesn't expect a breakdown to occur is either not competent enough to run a business or insanely naive.
    *Disclaimer*
I am neither approving or disapproving of Lone Mountain. I have had no dealing with them directly, except to look at a truck they had posted in Vegas. What I saw was an overpriced fleet truck from CRST that was the epitome of disgusting and shows why so many truckers fail as an independent owner operator. If you leave licorice, beef jerry and other little snacks lying around and can't seem to figure out what cleaning means, your organizational skills are not up to par that is needed to run a successful business. The sales person did advise me the truck had only come in the day prior and was yet to be detailed, so this was in no way a reflection of what they released when sold.
