I currently make $30k/yr w/ full benefits (govt) doing data entry but I'm looking for a career change. Would starting out with deliveries with my own cargo van be a good start? Would I at least break even compared to what I'm making now? I see listings all the time on craigslist and it sounds like something I'd rather be doing for a living than sitting behind a computer all day.

Those ads are on Craigslist because those people don't want to pay anything, go to work for them, and you'll go broke, same goes for UShip.

Expediting is a great way to get real familiar with truck stop parking lots... you'll be on a first name basis with every 15 year old at taco bell...

you have an entry level government job that gives you a steady paycheck and benefits.

Why the HELL do you want to quit.

    I'll trade you!! Straight up!
I'll just give you my CDL and DOT card.

Hell, just bust your ### at that job and move up!
