I thought this thread would be about the lawsuit. NOT the terminology of the wording.:biggrin_25523:

    Long overdue.

As for Wikipedia, overall it is a very good source for information. There are requirements to post sources. As an example the top of the page contains two warnings http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Class_action.
The page has a ton of links and then there is the detailed discussion on the talk page. You can put up bogus information but unless it is some obscure subject with few experts in the field it won't stay long or will end up with the warnings at the top of the page until it is hashed out.

Yes, I'm surprised there hasn't been a recall on the EGR coolers on the 2009 ISX. Cummins is fixing them under warranty after your cylinders and oil pan get flooded with coolant. But extended cylinder, bearing and ring damage is already done from the 2-3 months of slow coolant loss until total failure. You can expect about half the life of these engines. They are good engines if the EGR cooler is changed as a preventive measure instead of waiting until total failure. The truck manufacturers and Cummins knows about the problem and are avoiding spending the money to do the right thing. Why fix all of them when you can get by fixing half of them? Most companies don't care because the truck will be traded off in four years. But an owner operator is expecting the truck to last alot longer and it's not going to. I don't know why they are singling out Volvo?
