I am not surprised. I see many out there.

I hope they will get caught, but many have done it with no problem for many years.

    One can always hope.

a few years agon I bought a 48' enclosed car trailer. Got it from a guy in texas who was selling it due to not making any money with hauling cars. He was also trying to pay off a huge ticket he got for hauling automobiles and household goods without proper operating authority..LOL.. I am not sure what the ticket cost him and what ever else was involved but I know it wasnt good.
Now he was doing it illegally and still making no money. What do you think someone doing it legal with is gonna make. When I bought the trailer I had a contract for some specialized freight to haul making double or more what two cars will bring you. Then I would use cars as a backhaul. Generally the cars would only cover fuel and sometimes a very small profit but usually just fuel.

I wish anyone luck who is starting out. But I also hate to see people take a chance on losing a lot of money.

The reason he wasn't making any money is that no decent company would use him because he wasn't legal.

If anyone wants to use cars as backhauls, make sure your insurance covers vehicles, they usually aren't covered under normal cargo insurance.
