I had a 2005 Ram Off orad Edition with the Hemi motor and I avg'd 12mpg stock for the entire life I owned the truck (2005-2011) and i saw a 1mpg increase by removing the resionators and putting on a flowmaster 40 series muffler. Wish I would have tried this system.

On a side note, i am installing the Eco-5 on my MBN C-15 today and will be making my 1st trip with it on Saturday. I'll keep you all posted.

I have a 2005 Ram with Hemi. The guy who was babysitting it for me averaged 13mpg with it. With no modifications, simply running the grade of gasoline recommended by the manufacturer and driving my normal way ...I like to play with it sometimes, so not an angel... I average 16.5. It's the Daytona Edition with Borla exhaust and the other goodies.

I'm seeing now that perhaps we should be looking at driving style in addition to added gadgets to improve fuel economy. Maybe it's not the speed at which your truck moves over the asphalt so much as the pressure of your foot on the fuel pedal.

Cruising speed in and of itself will not affect fuel economy and wear nearly as much as hard takeoffs, racing stop light to stop light and running RPMs to 1,800 and higher before shifting.

I'm back to averaging 7.2 in the CornBinder. Running Cascades, Northern Rockies and Coastals. I do not have EcoTaz on my truck.

Well I baby my WS, always shifting at 1,500rpm. I only hit 7 stop lights on my entire 2,700 mile trip and usually catch them all green (as i roll up to most them) and never slam gears. I am doing everything to get good MPG's

As for my RAM, I had all city driving, no highway miles and most the time I was either pulling a bass boat or a 18' trailer with my race car on it. Also add in a few trips to the drag strip and a couple to the Off-Road park. I never touched the MPG info on the computer, and when I sold it with 46,000 miles on it, it had an avg of 12.2mpg...... that was computer miles, not pump miles. And I drove it hard

These units work on Gasoline as well as diesel but the Payback (ROI) is much quicker on diesel due to the amount of miles driven. That is why we chose this forum for the Owner/Operators to prove the RealWorld Benefits of the ECO #4 & #5 by it's own professional drivers.

You are correct in the fact that driving habits have a lot to do with the mileage you get. Drivers racing from light to light will get less mileage than those that just cruise thru them. However with the ECO-System it does not matter what style of driving you have, it will improve your mpg's as proven by the many testers on these threads about ECO-Systems. If you install an ECO-System and your able to change your driving habits to not accelerate as hard you will have even better MPG increases. Thanks, and I want to wish all the O/O's on this forum and it's Administrators a Very Happy and Safe Thanksgiving Holiday! May God Bless All of You and Your Families! Please Say a Prayer for all our Men and Women in Uniform!

This was my 1st trip with the Eco5 installed. My trip to Texas net me 5.18mpg which is down from my avg 5.5 but I found out I had a fuel leak up under the cab at a faulty T junction block. Fixed it and was able to get 6.2 on my trip home. No headwinds, cruise at 63mph and easy sailing.
