Yes I have & sent out several applications, but these are companies who aren't hiring owner operator. I cannot seem to find any plus I have read where some are dishonest but donot which ones to stay away from. Any comments or informations will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks

I don't mean to be rude, but why in the world would he just bobtail from Florida to North Dakota when he doesn't even know who to contact or if there is even an opportunity for him? Doesn't sound like a very wise business decision. Best of luck to the both of you.

shows you how bad florida is, people are leaving like crazy lol...

i think he should had sold/left his equiptment and gotten a company job up there.

he would had still made 80-100k yearly enough to maintain his family and make bank.

Actually I've been following threads from different forums and saw where they are hiring owner operator but you have to be there. Now that he is there he has learned quite a lot and has gotten a few leads, should begin working within a few days. Thanks for all concerns and informations.

Well keep us informed about his adventure and I hope he starts working soon. I can see why he just went up their because these oil field companies are a lot different to deal with then trying to hire on with Swift or Schneider. Most of the time they like to deal with you in person and if your their and ready to go to work it makes a lot of difference then 1500 miles away and it is a maybe when you will be their if you go at all.

I want to say thanks to everyone for concern and advice, my husband got an owner operator position. It pays to be here in person.

    Big John Thanks this.
