My first lease purchase.

    What's included in a lease program? I've been otr for 3 years (company) and tired of getting screwed with low end pay.


    I've been through 3 BFI's and a couple of IC's and it's either "low paychecks" or "run very illegal" just to earn a buck.


    I'm getting lots of call backs from different carriers, offering the lease program. One carrier i'm very close to hiring on to is offering .87cpm on the lease....could this include, truck payment, maint program, fuel surcharge, insurance, and permits? recruiter won't talk.


    I have leased a streight truck with penske, which included full maint, fuel, permits and insurance all in one package. Could this be in the same?

    My failed attempt began with an IC i was running for out of fontana. I started company, two weeks in he offered to "sell me" the truck. Istarted loosing $ faster than i could make it.

    87 cpm??? holy crap thats cheap pay. I know a guy that pays 22.5% of linehaul, trucks are safe and legal and you run legal, just need to run (which means driving the truck) and his guys are getting better than 1000 a week. Why do you want to earn less than that and own a truck at .87 cpm?

    Yea, but the last guy i started with, sold me the truck at $350 a week, charged me 30% off the top and had a feeling he was keeping all the fuel that we were getting from the brkrs (acces america-ch robinson-blinsky) he never wanted to show me the confirmation. My avg was $700 per load take home but was getting screwed on the fuel...

    So now you want to get involved in a lease/op scam?

    Just get a company driver job and be done with it! Spend some time learning about this business so that if and that's a big "IF" you ever get the opportunity to be an O/O, You might have a clue what to look for in the deal.

    Hey, avoid that lease purchase program. U will be work too hard and working for free. Ask yourself this when u close to paying off the truck and the company not giving u loads what will u do?

    Then u must fund fuel, maintanance, insurance and other expenses. It's a no win, listen to blackw900. A man of wisdom and knowledge. He knows wasssup.
