Hi Guys, which will it be the best trusted background check (including labor & driving history)? I'm planing to start a new trucking business and will like to hear from your experience to get good truck operators on board.

You can do several online, just search the web for it. I've done a few on past employees. I used USSearch and it gave me quite a bit of information including criminal history.

Edit: Whoops! Sorry I see now that you're looking for driving history, too. USSearch doesn't do that (to my knowledge). DAC could be one place to go, also your local Motor Vehicles Services division can provide you driver history for a particular state.

    Catan Thanks this.

The only way to get good drivers is to PAY them and give them great trucks. 55-60¢ per mile plus benefits should get some good drivers to stay.

Just to get a class A you have to pass a background check of the standards the FMSCA setup and a recent MVR tells the rest of the story. I could care less about the rest. If you can get hazmat you got through a background/FBI check so why waste money.

Our parent company uses Hire Right to verify eligibility for employment, so now I have a DAC record even though the trucking company didn't subscribe.

It's mostly to see if people are legally employable in this case, they are good at that.
