That is gross pay. My one freind with truck and loader is useing $300 a day in fuel. These are all legal loads 80,000lbs or less Ct does not let us get permits for weight. Most loggers when it comes to trucking are cheap.

Yeah cheap is right and there making good money in wood here. Most are saying best they have made in yrs. A lot of log haulers sold or went out of busn. Few yrs ago so if loggers don't start paying better there won't be many guys left to haul. Most are having a hard time finding truckers now. One mill said they pay 100 per 1000 board ft on a 75 mile loaded run. Then another logger said he would only pay 50 per 1000 on a 40 mile run. That don't sound right. At 4000 board ft that's 200 only plus I have to load and unload lucky to get 3 loads in. I'm thinking I could make more doing otr flatbed work. I make more hauling pulp 40 miles than saw logs for that guy. Any other guys from Wisconsin got any rate info on pulp/bolts and tie logs/saw logs. ??? I see all these haulers with 200k trucks and wonder how there making there payments/insurance/fuel/ect and make any money on the prices I hear most loggers want to pay. ???
