I have pulled live loads for them and it takes awhile to get loaded and it also takes awhile to get paid

Yes, had that discussion this week about PO out of Plano. With fuel it was $1.62/mile for a pre-loaded, R/T with ability to run 24/7.

Just way too cheap. And don't forget to make sure they don't try and sneak in some pay on a merchandise card.

EVERY single invoice comes back via typed up refusal form because we didn't put the BOL number on our invoice. Even when it has the BOL number on it. Now it takes them longer to create the form, address the envelope and mail it than if they wrote the BOL number on it 10x. So they are just looking for ways to delay paying you.

No Menards near me but when I was in IL I refused to shop with them anymore based on how they treated us as a carrier.

A little OT but sometime google up John Menard and read some of the press on this guy. He is a notorious cheapskate. Wealthiest man in Wisconsin by the way. There was a story a few years back that he paid the #2 guy in his company, the CFO like $55-60 grand a year while he was taking over $20 million a year. A lot of other stuff too. Sounds like a real character

I used to build homes and remodeled houses for a living in Mn. Talked to the guy that delivered for them there many times..he was not a happy camper..he was on a contract for a certain length of time and wanted out. I also know people who worked at Menards in the contractor division..they were not treated very well and agreeing with the other post.... John Menard is known to be a cheapskate and will fanangle his way to make sure he comes out on top...not thought of very highly by people I know from Eau Claire, WI.

That's really generous compared to the contract we were presented a couple weeks ago. The new (12/12) contract reads .88cpm and they only pay FSC to the heavy haulers now.

I hope they enjoy their products sitting in the dc's because no one is going to haul for that rate.

Except I bring loads to the Eau Claire D.C. from OR and WA..And MUST take a load out of there if available..That's the way it's drawn up. Keep in mind I'm a Company Driver and don't know ALL the ins and outs of it.

I wonder..Why does EVERYTHING have to be a big secret all the time?:biggrin_2559:

Talk to Corporate on that one Bumpy. Honestly, from what we've seen over the past two years, one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. Plus they really don't care about regulations, at least when loading the contractors. Hubby would constantly have to have them tear apart loads and restructure them.

His last load was absolutely stupid. They loaded all the weight over the back axles. They refused to make it right.

They are trying to mix things that need to be on a van in with the flat loads to save money. I have a lot more I could say here, but will refrain for now.

I don't see the problem. I dropped/hooked there many times and was in/out within 30 minutes. All the loads paid the same too. Oh yeah I was company! :)

    .88 cents? They've gone bonkers!

Let's hear it BHW, it's good to let it out! :)
