I use quickbooks for all of my billing and book keeping and it works pretty well. But its not exactly set up for the trucking industry. Is there anything else out there that is better suited? Ive googled a few things but nothing really jumps out at me as being reputable or good quality.

Also any other programs that are geared toward truckers that you use please let me know what they are and what you think of them.

    Thanks!

I use Truckers Helper. Has worked flawlessly for me for many many years now.
They also have a forum etc for anything you need help with, but have yet to need it.

We need more industry software that is Linux compatible. It sucks having to run a windows machine just for daily logs. (Eclipse doesn't play nicely with WINE). Just an observation, please no OS war.

We use Strategy Live for our trucking software, QuickBooks Online for accounting, Qualcomm for HOS, tracking, etc, and Google Docs for storage (we scan everything). Everything is web based so we can access our entire business from any browser. If you wanted to save money, instead of Qualcomms, you could use iPhones with U-Drove for HOS and tracking.

Least I forget, we use Comdata and Flyers for fuel cards so IFTA reporting is a breeze with the electronic tracking.

We run our business completely electronic so no matter where we are at, we just need internet access and we are up and running, on a MAC, a PC, an iPad, an iPhone or on a borrowed computer.
