I'm looking for a source for the lever that sits in the Steering shaft 1st U-joint and is secured with a padlock.
It prevents the truck from being driven away - at least in theory.

I cant find it and have seen it somewhere.

I will be taking a few trips with the wife and we will stay in a hotel at night and I wanted the rig secured when I am not in it.
Not really fond of the War Lok and its spendy.
I figured this option would be good for what I need and I check the oil in the AM before departing anyway,
    so it's not much hassle.

Unless someone has any other immobilize ideas?

Can't you just get a thick padlock to lock around the parking brake handle and keep it from being depressed?

Or just remove the fuse for the engine computer?

I just saw one of these this week for the first time advertised somewhere. If I can remember when I'll let you know.

I personally use an Enforcer air cuff lock. Keeps them from being able to release the brakes. And is visible from outside the window looking in. Works as a good deterrent in my opinion, and much better since they would have to already be broken inside of the cab to realize they can't steal it with the other u joint lock.

And if they REALLY want your truck, they are going to take it no matter what u have on it.

Had a dockworker in Chitown tell me once there's no car he couldn't steal. Even ones with the steering wheel lock thingie. Best thing is make it difficult enough that they will go on to easier pickings. I would suggest the brake lock myself, but have no personal experience with them.

    SHC Thanks this.

Exactly, just like a truck with a dog, no matter how big or small, they would rather move on to the next truck than to deal with it.

If it is going to in the slightest bit slow them down with a chance they may get seen, they will move on to easier prey.

I found a great air lock (not War Lok) but required modifying the MV3 valve. While I was a mechanic and have replaced them, it scares me
to modify/mess with the thing. I just swap it for a NEW one....
All I need is something to go wrong and have the yellow valve "pop" out.

That would make for a very bad day.

I wish there was something in between the War Lok and the $329 device that BW900 has...

Why not get the War Lok (enforcer) then?? Mine works fine and I did not have to modify anything.

Well I like the idea. But prior posts do indicate that visual is always a deterrent, which this would not be...

I don't need to come out and find the rig gone...:biggrin_25513: - I would have a good amount of faith
    in this device..
