How much do you need to gross per truck per week?

Mine is around 5 k a week for hotshot flatbeds ,No problems getting this ,at least now for a few months .
3500 is a good number to

 

what are your cost of operation per truck every week??? if your cost are 3000 dollars , you are in big trouble. if 3600 even worse trouble.

honestly, if you know your full cost of operation, the answer to your question would then be in front of you .

i dont want to sound harsh, but how can someone accumulate several trucks and trailers and not know the answer to the question you asked.

but to answer, i try for 4,500 a week on a fixed cost of 71.23 a day plus the 8 per cent to maintence fund, and fuel which varies. and i only pay myself 800 a week , which is plenty at this stage of my life, the rest stays with truck accts

 

I run a reefer and my aim is 4,000+ a week and I've tended to get about $4600/wk on about 2,000 total driven miles now. Which makes me quite content (about $2k/wk profit after all my set-a-sides and weekly expenses).

 

Its going to depend on what your fixed costs are (insurance, truck payments, etc) and what the per-mile rate on your variable costs (maintenance, fuel, etc). Don't forget to pay yourself!!! I usually break that up into what I need to make per day to the truck to cover that, and shoot for that.

 

a lot of us make 5-7k.. just depends on how much you get to keep after expenses.
it's not the gross you should be looking at, it's net.

 

I gross about 2100 a week, but only drive about 875 miles to do it, pulling someone else's trailer. Comes out to about 1500 after fuel and insurance.. Only run 80 miles radius, about 4 days a week, took coupla weeks off for vacation. Cleared about 38,000 last year. As they said, not what you gross, but what you net.

 

If my wheels are turning all week, at least 5K. When I'm sitting at home all week I gross a big fat zero. My ####'s paid for.

I am leased onto a company, and normally take home @2.5-4k a week after fuel and insurance, hauling oversize loads. Some weeks less, some more.
