my first trip as an o/o + pics of my rig.

Hi all, I just got home from my first trip as a new O/O. It went as i expected it would. Took a load to Laredo then reloaded back to Canada. Had a tire blow out on the second day, got it replaced, 300 bucks later down the road i went. Wasnt too bad , got lucky that it blew near a small town in Iowa with a tire service shop and didnt need a service call out. Laredo hasnt changed much since i was there last year. Anyway really not a whole lot to report, just drove down the road, delivered my loads and came home. Money wise things arent cheap, fuel especially, but i stuck to my budgeted amounts and should see the profit i expect to. Well i included a couple of pics of my rig as well, hope y'all like her!

Congrats. Beats my first trip. Over booked myself and got caught in a snow storm.

I for one am happy to see the handicap rails on your truck. We must always help our handicapped friends.

Thanks for the kind words guys! The biggest thing I learned on my first trip was "I've still got ALOT to learn!" . I wouldnt say it was a shock but definately a real eye opener to be responsible for EVERYTHING! I am very happy with my decision to go O/O and enjoy the challenge but its not easy ( i wasnt expecting it would be LOL). The challenges of driving are such a small part of the overall operation, every day its thoughts of what little jobs I will do when i stop for the day. In the 10 day trip I washed my truck ( not paying 60 bucks for blue beacon), greased it(not paying someone to do it for me) , pulled the A/C panel out of the dash to fix the loose wiring that was playing up, charged the A/C with gas and wired in some LED back up lights. All small jobs but a lot more to stay on top of to save a few bucks over paying a shop to do them. Anyway I am off at home today so time to restock my truck for my next trip. Then hammer down again!
