I picked up the 2009 pete on thrusday and as far as running it runs strong and gets killer MGH.. It's a 387 pete and the thing's I don't like about it, is it's hard to back up because it turns very slow and where the mirrors are makes it hard to see and the seats hurt my lower back but other than that it seems to be a good running trk. No pic's yet but I bought a camera today so I'll get them up soon. I found out the major parts are cover under cat until 9-13 or 600,000 miles which it has 437,000 on it. That's a plus. APU unit works great..

C 15. I did my 1st 1,100 run in it yesterday and today and the truck runs real good. The computer showed 7.4 MPG before I bought it but kenworth took off the speed limit which will probably change thing's! I noticed if I say around 65 it does good on fuel but run at 70 it makes a big change for the worst.. I'll need to keep my foot out of it. Over all I'm pretty happy with it!

Is 7.4 mpg quote from computer or tank to tank fill ups?

Yes, 60 would be killer fuel MPG but I would have to hang myself by the end of the trip!!LOL! I'm trying to train myself to run at 65 MPH.LOL! After running the west coast for so my years and the speed limit being 75 MPH it's hard slowing down.

slower speed might get you better mileage. but is it worth the loss in revenue from less loads that you haul.

75 - 60. gives you what. $200 savings in fuel.

say i drive for 50 hours during the week. i drop from 75 to 60. that's 750 less miles i drive during the week. our loads average 600 - 700 miles. so instead of 5 loads during the week. i only get 4 loads.

one less load for the week. $1000 - $1500 less revenue.

i'd be tickled pink just to get my truck up to 6. but even cali can't get it up past 5.5
