Too bad.....Most drivers are tired of being just mules.......
We are the most regulated industry.....
We have to deal with government wanting to restrict us.....
Public Citizen wants to see us go to the European model....IDK about anyone here but....I can't make any money working only 8 hours total per day....
Then there's CARB.....
If they get their way....This is the future of trucking:

Brooklyn is over by Queens and Jamaica, You rememebr? In coming to America? I done left now had to wait till traffic died down I don't like paying tolls, so I waited to go through the FREE way. I would've went in that way but thought I'd load out. 27.00 total toll going in and out long island.
There was a 300.00 load going out. 300.00 won't get my straps out on the island.
Maybe Pa. holds the money maker today.

"hehehehe okthanksbye." is good but if you do not do anything too stop that kind of nonsense hauling, sooner or later you will be in the same sittuation where you will have to move it for $500. I have been terrorised by undercover gangs who answer my phone and the same kind of rate is always offered, no matter which broker I am calling, and I end up doing the load for the same, as you just posted, and laughed at. I have been here in Houston Market for 5 days and not been able to book a load out of here to North East for $2/mile. Like I said first the peals come off the branch and then the actuall wood gets cut.

The minute you try to do that you will be in trouble like hell. These brokers are getting help from some kind of undercovers gangs and they are watching every move you guys are doing or trying to do.
Like I said earlier I have been ganged up by many of the big brokers, Austin Frt, CH Robinson, Freight Qt, etc (Allen Lund not paying my bill $3150 for load I hauled for them) With the help of undercovers, who provide all the info about me which might go in their favour, and I end up booking a cheap load. I do not think truck drivers have any smarts or ability to learn about smarts and unity to help eachother instead of undercutting eachother. I have been here in Houston TX market since Monday 06/11/2012 and today is 06/15/2012 and have not been able to book a load for $2/mile going North East. Why??? do you really give a ####.
US Bond is another joke these days. Allen Lund did not pay my bill I took it to the bond (US Bank NA, C/o TIA Dave Carney., what a joke this bond is )
They told me to get lost, or go back to Allen Lund. I went to NJ courts, with all kind of proofs, still no luck. So obviously there is something going on behind the seen. Why the judge will walk away from a clearly proven case.

There are times I wish we could see what drug consortium someone belongs to so we could call in a reasonable suspicion test. Wow, just wow.
