Back in 2009 when before I leased on to the Blue star mafia, I stopped using TQL for this very reason. Why anyone continues to call them is beyond me. Jacksonville to Atlanta will turn into Orlando to Chattanooga, but no one has ever heard of Orlando or Chatt so we list Jax and ATL. Stop doing business with these clowns and they'll either straighten up or go under. Do you really want to do business with someone who disrespect you on a daily basis?

I'll invest a few minutes here and there with them. They've actually come through with a fairly decent rate a time or two, out of a very difficult 'black hole'. Like betting red/black on roulette, the odds aren't good, but the payoff is there if you're willing to take the risk

Simple rule of dealing with TQL, ask for the zip codes before you start to negotiate anything,
I've got one company that won't haul for them no matter what, and I've got one company who has no problem with them whatsoever, whenever I call on a load, I always mentioned the cities that it was posted, but then ask for the zip code to verify the mileage.

I always check mileage before I commit to a load. Some are pretty close and others are way off. I know of one broker that told me that his company has 3 different ways to calculate mileage. He knows that I always check so he usually uses practical miles when he quotes me a rate. Most of the time his numbers are close to actual.
