One, also needs to understand, with a 72 month loan. A person will be making $2150 payment long after the depreciation write off is gone. Then the repairs begin. That's a risky combination. -
I would take good used truck than getting a new one with monthly payment. Who knows how long will you work on the company.

If I were looking for my next truck I'd probably go glider with something like an X2O diesel water emulsion system. I'd be future emission compliant and reap the benefits of spending less on fuel plus be spending less on the truck plus the DWE system than if I were to buy a new truck. No brainer for me.

I would just clearly stay out of west coast states like ca. I live in pa and wanna do loadboards. No to cheap freight.

jpeters, as the owner of (9) 2010 or newer emissions trucks that regularly runs Cali. UNLESS you are TOTALLY brand loyal, buy the newest truck you can from the BEST "SERVICING" dealer in your area regardless of make. Preferably a dealer that will also give you deep discounts on parts, (new truck parts are spendy!)
I do understand that you can breakdown anywhere, but having a great service dept. that you can depend on near your home base will speak volumes down the road, ESP. on these newer trucks.
I have a good friend here in sales near my home at Freightliner TC Kansas, HOWEVER, my best servicing dealer is in Indiana, PITA!mp4694330, bigred81 and double yellow Thank this. -

freightliner now have cascadia available as gliders. Harrison sell it with 12.7 detroit.

JMO, A glider may save you a few thousand over a new truck, but a new truck comes with a better warranty, more than double of a glider, having a pre emission truck would be great, but not for the price they want for any old rebuilt Detriot, If I was going to shell out that kind of money? I'd go with new

Not to mention, Glider prices have gone up MORE than new truck rates, or at least it seems so. Just a couple years back a nice Glider was 97,000 now I am seeing them at 125,000?
