id be happy as hell if my truck got even close to that.
id say you might expect a 8.1 to 8.5 at 65. I get 5.4 at 70

really want to stir a pot don't you.......
Every MPH is going to cost you about 2000 miles of travel time or about 1 weeks work annually.
Since it's a company truck and all you get is a fuel bonus. What is your bonus paying you vs that extra week of mileage you are not driving. Or in this case, 2 weeks.

ask other drivers about the chances of meeting the requirements of making the bonus. Ive heard of quite a few companies that you wont even get enough miles to even make it happen, or they kinda fade off towards your mileage goal and you miss it by a little bit. Honestly if you get paid by the mile hammer down and just make deliveries and freight on time. if you get atleast a 6.5mpg your still making good money for the company.

Real world is also putting me 2 days ahead of another truck that I passed back on the other end of Nebraska with 2 mph more speed.
That's about 1100+ miles right now in since Tuesday.

the key is to get your 11 hours done as quickly as you can and not push up against your 14 hours and as many miles as possible. I got 645 miles in today at 10 hour 20 minutes. About 62.4 mph average. Pretty good for a 66 mph governed truck and going from KC MO to Spingfield MO to Minnesota.
