I have LED amber cab lights, that really brighten things up but still given an amber hew to everything. If I were to ever go overboard, I'd just get an LED light strip across the visor instead of the 5 individual lights.

A good moose bar is going to do you better if you're worried about hitting wildlife. Those lights will make a deer freeze then jump out in confusion. Get a moose bar and rock on.

Each to there own, I think they look good. Get a nice polished aluminum and they look good. The lights you put on are very good for driving those dark roads but I think if your worried about hitting wildlife then a bar will ease your mind a bit more. At least with the bar and lights you will see them AND not be too worried about hitting them. Especially with a Volvo, that's an expensive front end to repair if damaged.

For my POV here in PA I had off-road lights mounted on the top. The dealership did it as part of the new vehichle purchase. I was told that they must be covered when driving on-road or was subject to being fined if LEO noticed/chose to enforce.
